April's Free Printable Calendar from The Cherry On Top

Welcome to The Cherry On Top.

We have moved to our site where our blog is our home page because I'm all about blogging.  Ya just can't shut me up and I've got so, so much to show you in hopes of inspiring you and getting you to get your craft on.  I hope you'll follow us at thecherryontopdesigns.com.

Without further adieu, here is April's gorgeous, printable calendar. Eek!  I'm loving the calendars so far and I hope you are, too.  I even love the photo this month.  Birds are my thang.  These colours are so soft, pretty and have a wonderful natural feel about them.  After quite possibly, the coldest winter I've suffered, here in Belgium (coming from Florida), I look very forward to the freshness and sunshine that comes with spring.  The rebirth of the outdoors.  The birds singing gayly at the earliest of mornings.

The coordinating kit, Begin Again is also in the shop this week due to a goof up in the scheduling.  Hehehe...  You'll be able to design fabulous scrapbooking pages, cards, planners...digital goodies are so wonderfully diverse.  You can design anything with them.  Ooh!  A springy banner would be gorgeous with this!

This is what Carol and Rachelle have done with Begin Again.  Honestly, I was scrolling through my wall and found one of Rachelle's pages and thought, "Wow!  That is so pretty.  I love that rose so much.  I wonder what kit this is?"  Then saw that the post was from my team's group.  DUH and BUAH!  Hehehe...

Isn't it just so lovely?!

These are our other coordinating calendar kits found in our shop, Kreative Design Studio.

Free Project Life Cards, New Fabulous Photos Scrapbooking Templates and More Freebies

Welcome to The Cherry On Top.

We have a new site!  I'd prefer it if you clicked here and jumped over there for today's blog.  I've been trying to get myblogs from here imported over there, but it isn't working so far.  These images are not great when I copy/pasted from there to here because this is how they appear on WP for some reason, but when it publishes, it looks great, promise!  If you've got any advice for this, let me know!!!  Hehehe...I'll see ya over there.

In typical Freebie Friday fashion, I've got a blog FULL of scrap-a-licious inspiration, new digital templates, a new freebie and enough free download links to have you scrapping for weeks.  Seriously!  Read along carefully and you'll see!  Free kits, free templates...  If you ever are thinking about diving into digital scrapbooking, NOW is the time and The Cherry is here to help.  If you are a glitter and glue kind of scrapper, you'll love our new printable journal cards for your Project Life pages, cards, planners or anything really and you can get ideas for future pages, too.  Tuesdays we go all traditional.
Come dive right into a sea of creative scrapbooking!

The link for this free download is at the bottom of the blog.  I love holding my readers captive!  Hehehe...and you will be captivated with today's loveliness.  I used designs from Creative Market. For this freebie.  They also have very generous freebies there.
On our Traditional Tuesday blog, I explained what Project Life was.  It's a very simple, yet complex if you so desire, manner of scrapbooking using cards as pictured above that are placed into pocket pages.  Simply slide your cards into your chosen pocket, then shape your photos to also fit in the pockets.  THAT is SO easy!  I gave examples of simple as well as complex pages on Tuesday's blog.  Check it out here if you want to learn more about traditional Project Life scrapbooking.
Digital Project Life style scrapbooking is another beast!  There are ZERO limitations, no pockets and a lot of room for play.  You don't need to buy the special binder and all of those pages. Some might consider out newest templates, Fabulous photos, Project Life style.  That is due to the simple, shaped photo spots.  Most often used in square or rounded corner squares.
Tuesday, I showed off traditional styled Project Life and today, we are looking at Digi style.

You might just be amazed at how fast these templates scrap up.  Sometimes I feel a bit guilty when a page just flies together.  Like seriously, under 10 minutes to scrap!  I really, really love my page here of my son and niece and it was scrapped up in just about 10 minutes.  Clip in your gorgeous papers, photos and then...for the real time saver, design a fabulous cluster, duplicate each layer of the cluster and place it around your page.  Then, go back and make slight adjustments to each cluster.  Turn a few flowers to fit in the new place, add or subtract some ellies and you're finished!

Here's another page starring my youngest at his most recent birthday.  He is totally a monkey!  I'm so glad I concentrate on my core, because he still likes to be picked up, sit on my lap and often hang on us parents.  (He has Autism and though he's 11, his mental capacity is that of a smaller child.)  You just know his favourite part of a birthday party is the cake.  I bet it's yours, too!  Hehehe...Isn't Kim Camerons, Little Monkey kit just so darn cute?!  Click on the image to get to Daisies and Dimples where you can purchase the kit or look for it in the side bar.

Take a look at what my team has scrapped up with Fabulous photos.  These templates are super for multiple photo pages or for showing off pretty papers.

The Cherry On Top kit and template
Here are some ideas for Project Life that I've done awhile ago.

I used BoomersGirl Designs for both pages.

This is another kit from Kim Cameron Designs.

This page I lifted from one of the examples on Tuesday's blog.

Use our printable or digital collection, My Muse to scrap Project Life style.

My Muse from The Cherry On Top and Made By Keuntje

On top new collections around DigiLand with  my designs.  This one is Genie Divine from The Urban Fairy.  A totally awesome, versatile collection.  I scrapped up the soft and bolder side of it.

See what I mean by the bold side?!  There is a LOT of blue in this kit making it totally suitable for boys and girls.  I LOVE that!

This is what the page kit looks like.  Go ahead and click on that preview to check it all out.

We introduced the world to our Strip Tease templates and the world responded!  hehehe...I'm SO glad I've already designed the second series of these because the first ones are flying out of the shop.  Thanks to all of you who purchased!  Whoo hoo!  The pages I've seen with these are simply stunning!  What depth and texture you can get with these.

Apparently, the team really loved the heart template.  Pun intended.  Hehehe...

Strip Tease Scrapbooking Templates and Fabulous Freebies

Welcome to The Cherry On Top's fabulous Freebie Friday.

What a long week?!  We finally made it to the weekend and we want to reward you with a look at our newest templates, pages and pages of awesome inspiration that will bring back your mojo, for sure, new digital products from LouCee Creations, our Commercial Use freebie and we saved the end to show off various freebies from us and the Digital Scrapbooking Studio.

Shoo...wee....It's another doozy of a blog.  Grab something delicious to sip on, sit back and spend a relaxing few moments with The Cherry.  Trust me, you'll be glad ya did!

How about these amazing templates?!  I'm all about honesty and I'll tell you, I wasn't really crazy about these templates at first.  Well, it was more like, I didn't think anyone else would like them.  They took me a really long time to design so I decided to show them to my team and to my surprise, they overwhelmed me with their generous complements.  With a touch of urging from my gal Rachelle, I thought I'd go ahead with them and boy am I glad I did.
I used Aimee Harrison new collection, Manly Man.  What fabulous colours and I'm always very keen on masculine kits.  There are just not enough of those out there.

Take a look and see what my team has designed with the templates and you'll have an arsenal ideas on how you are going to use Strip Tease templates.

Of course, you don't always have to have a photo on your page.  A design like this would be great for a cover page, card or in between or divider page in an album, too.

I liked the idea of merging the strips and clipping in one large image, paper or photo.

Rachelle merged the torn bits and used a glitter effect or paper on them.  For the page I did, I merge the tears and used a Kraft Paper Effect on them for more delicious texture.

Jodi from Throwing Some Scraps Around also did a masculine page with one of her lovely sons and her new kit, You Make Me Crazy.

Tammy played with the template and then requested a stitched up heart to add to it.  I thought I'd never be able to figure that one out, but I gave it a try with some messy stitches, which I know she likes and left me plenty of room for error. Hehehe...Not too shabby, I'd say.  It's going to also be today's new blog freebie.  Keep reading and you'll find it.

I bring you LouCee Creations $1 deals.  All three mini kits are just $1 through the month and they all coordinate.  Super, right?!

I used Blocked Templates and her So Springy collection for this pretty page.

Here is today's new, Stitched Heart Freebie.

We just put these on the blog yesterday and they are being downloaded by the hundreds, already!  Whoo hoo!  Don't miss out on the Pixel Scrapper hop.

This was our freebie from last week.  If you missed it, click on the image and get to last week's Freebie Friday.  You missed a lot!

The Digital Scrapbooking Studio is one of my favourite digital shops and they have a very active, easy to use forum, too.  I'm presenting you with some previews from March's challenges.  These are ALL FREE.  You may have missed on some of the Progressive Scrap goodies, but there is still plenty of time and it's a great challenge with so many goodies.

Thanks so much for checking out The Cherry.

I hope you enjoyed today's blog and that we inspired you to get scrappy this weekend.
