Free Hybrid Card from The Cherry On Top and Aimee Harrison Designs

Welcome to hybrid Saturday with The Cherry On Top.

I'm so excited about today's blog.  I've got templates, tips, inspiration, gorgeous collections and a freebie for you.  I'm using a really beautiful collection from Aimee Harrison Designs, Learning Curve.  It is part of her monthly 360 Life.  What a great idea, right?

Read through today's lovely entry, get inspired and try some of the techniques herein.

How about that view in the background?  My boys on top of the Calmont in Germany with the beautiful Mosel River meandering, gracefully through...Just fabulous!

This layout was designed using Learning Curve goodies as well as a coordinating template.  I'm getting two birds with one stone with this design.  Keep reading to find out how you can turn a layout into a card with a just a few extra steps.

Here is the template.  Keep scrolling to see the transformation.

As you can see, I've ditched all of the cluster and journaling.  I then selected "all layers", centered them and elongated the strips.

I added some word art using a general font from my PSE program and "Happy" was designed with one of the three alphas you can find in Aimee's collection.

Plug in your papers, add your clusters and your layout is finished.

For the card, I kept my cluster and just changed it slightly.  I used more of that super alpha and wrote a very general sentiment.  Making the card mega useable.  Played a bit with the scatter, too.

Print out on rigid paper, cut around the edges and voila.  Finished in a flash.

Here's a peek at the elements, but it's just a touch of what you can find in the collection.
